As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.
We have four thriving sections here at 1st Shiremoor: a Squirrel drey, a Beaver colony, a Cub pack and a Scout troop. Our Group Scout Leader, Laura, manages the waiting list and movements within the Scout Group for our young people. 1st Shiremoor Scout Group is a popular and successful group, and it is normal for our sections within the group to run at full capacity. Therefore, entry numbers to all sections must be managed.

Please note when applying that we currently have a waiting list for three of the four sections in the group Squirrels, Beaver and Cubs.

When places become available in any of our Sections, they will be offered based on the following order of priority considering length of time on the waiting list at each priority level:
